The starting salary for this role is £29,291 per annum for working 36 hours per week, or £14,645.50 for working 18 hours per week.

We have two Senior Social Care Assistant vacancies to work flexibly between hospitals in South West Surrey (Royal Surrey County Hospital, Milford and Haslemere Community Hospitals).

One is full-time (36 hours per week) and the second is part-time (18 hours per week).

This is an excellent opportunity for Senior Social Care Assistants to join our outstanding team. You will receive excellent support and supervision combined with comprehensive training/induction.

You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to establish discharge plans and follow up on patients following discharge to reassess their ongoing needs. You will also be involved in supporting safeguarding investigations and attending safeguarding meetings with the support of qualified practitioners.

In order to be shortlisted for this role, we would love to hear about;

  • Your substantial experience of working directly with people with social care needs.
  • Your confidence and competence in working with people with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments.
  • Your basic IT skills and be willingness to learn to use a variety of software systems.
  • Your ability to communicate in a clear, fluent, concise and jargon-free way and in a courteous, calm and professional manner.

You will be working in a team of motivated, dedicated and friendly colleagues and have an added bonus of working closely alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team in a thriving hospital environment.

All community hospitals offer free parking and parking costs within Royal Surrey County Hospital can be reclaimed. You may be required to travel between hospitals, but this will be kept to a minimum.

The work involves travelling within South West Surrey and also to other parts of the county. We therefore ask that you are a car driver and have access to a car.
