As a housing development officer, you will understand social housing, have experience of the development of residential housing, and understand the socio-economic and political factors as they relate to housing in the UK.

This is a versatile role, where you will effectively manage a portfolio of new build residential projects from inception to completion and post completion evaluation to ensure that the development objectives are achieved. You will be able to work in a methodical, accurate and systematic manner to ensure all processes are complete effectively and efficiently and are able to work independently on specific tasks as well as within the team. Knowledge and understanding of risk and contract management as it relates to development and an understanding of regeneration is desirable. You will also have excellent customer care skills, an adaptable approach, and the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders.

Your background is likely to be in local authority or registered provider development, construction, or property however outstanding candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills and/or a willingness to learn but without specific development experience may be considered.
