Evening Centre Assistant
Summary
This role has a starting salary of £3,034 per annum based on a 7 hour working week (FTE £20,722)
The working hours are Tuesday and Thursday; 6:15pm to 9:45pm and Term Time Only for 34 weeks per year.
This is a fixed term contract until 31 December 2023, with possible extension.
Surrey Adult Learning has seven centres across North and South West Surrey and is looking to appoint a Centre Assistant for its Esher Centre.

Surrey Adult Learning provide a wide range of daytime, evening and Saturday courses and learning opportunities for adults. The provision includes a range of qualification courses predominantly in English, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), maths and digital skills; courses for those with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and parents/carers wanting to upskill to support their children. Courses for personal development in a wide range of subjects such as arts and crafts, languages and exercise as well as our outreach provision for those currently facing life challenges.
In order to be considered for the role, we would love to hear that;
- You havee a strong customer service background together with general administrative experience to ensure the effective operation of the Centre.
- You have an interest in adult learning.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are well organised.
- You're a strong team player with the ability to manage their own workload, meet deadlines and prioritise as required. High standards of accuracy and attention to detail are also required.
- You will need to be able to demonstrate a practical and confident approach as the role involves some lone working.
