Waverley and Guildford Borough Councils are developing their partnership working with the formation of a joint management team. This team of senior managers will drive forward the Councils’ strategic plans. We are now looking for someone with the technical and communications ability to be an HR Change Specialist, helping to help deliver the change programme supporting our vision.
With demonstrable experience of delivering change to improve performance, you will be able to engage stakeholders, manage risk, harmonise policies and procedures and develop a positive performance culture during a time of change.
We are looking for someone who is a skilled communicator, who can see the bigger picture and robustly plan and lead strategic change but who can also engage effectively and knows how to build a positive and inclusive culture. You will be comfortable presenting to and consulting with councillors and senior managers and have experience of a unionised environment.
This post is a full-time role, 37 hours per week. However, part time and flexible working applications are welcomed. The post is fixed term for six months.
The role reports into the Waverley Borough Council HR Manager, however the successful applicant is expected to represent the interests of Guildford and Waverley Borough Councils and work across them equally. Deliverables will also be accountable to the Guildford HR Lead Specialist.
