This role has a starting salary of £11.04 per hour + 15% annual leave enhancement

About the Service

Surrey Adult Learning provide a wide range of daytime, evening and Saturday courses and learning opportunities for adults. The provision includes leisure courses like arts and crafts and languages; qualification courses such as GCSE’s in English and Maths; classes which support those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities; classes aimed at parents/carers to help them support their children and improve their own skills; and an outreach provision aimed at vulnerable groups in the community who would not normally engage in any form of learning.

Surrey Adult Learning has seven centres across North and South West Surrey and is looking to appoint Examination Invigilators as a bank role for the Service.

About You

We are looking for people who can demonstrate common sense, accuracy and attention to detail, and have the self-confidence to command a room of up to 45 students, giving instructions clearly and authoritatively.

You must be punctual, have a flexible attitude to work and possess good communication skills.

About the Role

Duties include laying out stationery, observing candidates, checking attendance, collecting scripts and liaising with learners, tutors and examinations staff to resolve queries. Duties may also include collecting papers from one centre and taking to another centre for the exam and dispatching completed papers to the awarding body.

Full training will be provided and staff will be contacted prior to the exam period to discuss the Invigilation schedule in relation to their own availability. Exams take place throughout the academic year, but we especially need you to be available from mid-May through to mid-June to assist with the English and Maths GCSEs.

· Sunbury Adult Learning Centre, The Avenue, Sunbury on Thames, TW16 5DZ

· Woking Adult Learning Centre, Hoebrook Close, Westfield, Woking, GU22 9PE
