Do you want to be part of an experienced, successful, and enthusiastic team?

We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join our Homechoice and RSI team.

The team are responsible for the letting of Council and housing associations properties, managing the Council’s Housing Register for applicants already living in social housing and managing the Council’s Rough Sleeping Outreach Service.

You will support Homechoice and RSI manager and the Team, in the advertising, shortlisting and allocation of social housing through the Council’s online Choice Based lettings scheme.

You will also oversee the Team’s work to assess and register transfer applicants, ensuring that those registered meet the criteria set out in the Council Allocation scheme.

You will also deputise for the Homechoice and RSI manager and this will include ensuring that the Council swiftly responds to reports of rough sleeping through its Rough Sleeping Outreach and Support work.  

You will provide a key role in securing sustainable housing solutions for applicants ranging from a vulnerable single people or young families just starting their housing journey, to older clients wishing to downsize or move to Senior Living housing.

Your experience of working in a challenging front line customer service role will help you to remain calm under pressure while delivering the highest levels of customer service.

You will also have excellent IT skills and be able to keep accurate records and meet deadlines. 

We are looking for someone who will provide excellent customer care, be sensitive to customer needs but still ask searching questions when necessary.

Whilst the role will initially be Office based there is flexibility for the role to be hydrid, combining home and office working
