The starting salary for this role is £41,127 per annum for working 36 hours per week (pro-rata for part-time staff).

The Hospital service runs from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. In practice you are likely to be required to work a minimum of one weekend shift per month and one late shift per week. Staff who are on the rota to work a shift falling on a weekend will be given a day off in lieu. Full time applicants will be contracted to a 36-hour week and these hours will be worked on a rota basis across 7 days a week.

Are you an experienced, qualified, SWE registered Social Worker with at least 3 years' post registration experience as a social worker in a social care or multi-agency community setting? As a Senior Social Worker, you will be motivated, flexible and have high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation and its application to practice in a social care setting.
An applied knowledge of The Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act and experience of undertaking safeguarding enquiries is essential alongside experience of working in complex situations using professional judgement and a range of interventions.
As an established Social Worker in the team you will have experience in supporting professional staff. This includes providing professional and reflective supervision, guidance and advice to less experienced social workers, including those completing ASYE and social work students. In this role you will lead and establish best practice alongside your peers as well as demonstrating exemplary professional values and behaviours.
To be shortlisted to interview your application will clearly evidence:
- That you are a qualified social worker with SWE registration and have a social work degree with at least 3 years' post registration experience as a social worker in a social care or multi-agency community setting.
- Successful completion of ASYE if qualified after June 2012 (Social Workers).
- A broad knowledge of social work practice and legislation, including safeguarding.
- An ability to demonstrate excellent assessment and analytical skills.
- That you are a car driver with full valid UK driving licence and use of a motor vehicle.
