We are currently seeking a Supported Lodgings Officer to join our Supported Lodgings Team, based in Redhill but covering the whole of Surrey. As part of the role you will need to be able to travel throughout the county and be prepared to work some evenings on occasion.
The team is part of the Fostering Service, and it recruits, assesses and supports people who offer family based Supported Lodgings for young people who are leaving the care system.
The work is varied, and no two days are the same, so you need to be adaptable and enjoy a challenge. The Supported Lodgings Team is a small but busy team which is committed to the provision of a quality service.
Your role will involve working with Supported Lodgings Providers and with young people. We also work closely with Social Workers and the Care Leavers Service.

You will need experience of working with children or young people in a paid or voluntary setting, together with a good understanding of the needs and experiences of young people who have been in care.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this work. You will also need to be able to work to timescales in a busy environment and be a confident computer user. You will need to have a good standard of literacy and be able to write reports.
