The starting salary for this role is £15,648 per annum based on working 21.6 hours per week.

This role is open to remote working meaning you aren't required in the office 5 days a week. We're less about you driving to work and more about us collectively driving down our carbon footprint. We are looking for a friendly, professional and customer focused individual who can work as part of a team. The role involves providing a responsive administration service to the officers of Democratic Services and all 81 County Councillors.

As part of the Business Support Team, you will take responsibility for assigned administration processes and will be a first point of contact for officers and councillors in need of support. Specific work areas will include Time (SAP) and Finance administration alongside providing some PA support for the Democratic Services Senior Management Team. Training in our systems will be provided but an aptitude for IT is essential.

This is a varied and busy role, and we are looking for someone who can remain calm under pressure, is customer-orientated, and has the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

Candidates will:

  • have excellent organisational skills
  • be able to work to tight deadlines
  • have the ability to act on their own initiative
  • be a quick learner and able to work flexibly as part of a team
  • have a good knowledge of IT systems
  • have strong communication skills with a high standard of spoken and written English.
