We have opportunities to join our Children With Disability teams based in Woking (NW Surrey) and Redhill (SE Surrey) these include:
Social Workers starting on £36,282 and rising to a maximum of £40,146 per annum
Senior Social Workers starting on £41,127 and rising to a maximum of £45,519 per annum.
Advanced Social Worker (ASW) starting on £41,127 and rising to a maximum of £45,519 per annum. This ASW opportunity is offered as a 12month fixed term contract or secondment to provide maternity cover in our NW (Woking) team. There is scope to offer this role as a permanent part time 18-hour per week role thereafter.
Our Advanced Social Worker post is a relatively newly developed role in Surrey's Children Services. While holding a significantly lower-case load of complex cases in our Assessment, Disability, Children Looked After or Safeguarding Teams, you will be supporting the Team Manager to develop Social Workers who have less experience in the field. This is an opportunity for you to progress your career in social work while not entering into a management role. You will have the opportunity to join colleague Advanced Social Workers in County Wide learning activities organised by the Surrey Children's Service Academy. You will have continuous professional development with a clear professional development pathway
For all of our opportunities we also offer a financial package of up to £6,000 (please see further information in attached reward statement).

We believe strongly in the importance of building positive and consistent relationships between the families we work with and social workers, together with the multidisciplinary team.
Working within the service you will work closely with a range of professionals from education, health and the community and voluntary sector. This partnership working is crucial to achieve the best outcomes for our children and families.
We place a strong emphasis on high quality and regular supervision as well as shadowing opportunities with our Advanced Social Workers. We have a strong leadership team who will be supportive and focused on enabling you to develop your career, identifying appropriate training. We also believe strongly in involving all our team members in service development working closely with our partners including children and families.
