Environmental Health Officer 

Salary: £31,065 - £46,559 FTE

Part Time (2 Days per week)

Temporary fixed term basis until 31st March 2023

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic officer to join our commercial environmental health team. you will either be an Environmental Health Officer working in the field or a trainee/student with experience and/or qualifications in a closely related subject area.

The role of the Environmental Health Officer covers a range of responsibilities relating to regulatory matters in the commercial and industrial sector and public health. Subject areas covered include food safety, infectious disease, occupational health & safety, pollution control and nuisances. There will be an opportunity to help draft policy and carry out local projects.

Suitable student applicants will be provided the opportunity to gain experience in other areas of environmental health if they are working towards qualifying as an Environmental Health professional.

In this role you will be expected to work a total of 2 days per week. However, we are flexible in how that time is managed.

This role is being offered on a temporary fixed term basis initially until 31st March 2023.
