Senior Licensing Officer
We have a vision for a sustainable and thriving Elmbridge. We need an experienced licensing officer to help us; we need you!
As a Senior Licensing Officer at Elmbridge you will be part of our dynamic licensing team which has public protection at its heart. Our residents rely on us to ensure the businesses they use in Elmbridge are safe and licensed – whether that is their local restaurant, bar or the taxi home.
You will be part of a larger Planning and Environmental Health team; 70 plus people all working in the best interests of the Elmbridge community.
We need your knowledge and experience, your ability to plan, to always do what’s best for our residents and your team and your skills in supporting our businesses to ensure they provide legally compliant services.
You will benefit from our excellent pension, as well as the ‘Thrive’ package of employee benefits and discounts with various local businesses. There is also free employee parking.
We appreciate the world of work has changed and we will discuss with you the best flexible working arrangements to suit the service needs and you. The council offices are on the High Street in Esher and we are currently working from home on average three days per week.
We all know learning doesn’t stop when you leave full time education, it is an ongoing journey and we will support you on that journey by creating a bespoke learning and development plan for you.
Have a look at the job description and person specification for more details on the role and if you would like an informal discussion on the role, please get in contact with Andy Martin 01372 474735 (Environmental Health and Licensing Manager) or Alia Knights Principal Licensing Officer 01372 474737.
