Looking to further your career in local government and governance? Spelthorne’s Committee Services Team is a busy team ensuring the democratic process runs smoothly.

We are looking for someone with Committee Services experience, who can work under pressure and who has a can do attitude to oversee and manage the smooth running and overall work of the Committee Services team.

You will possess strong communication skills and have experience of dealing with complex and/or demanding responsibilities in relation to governance processes, formal decision-making committees and queries from elected members, with minimal supervision. The Council has just moved to a Committee system so the successful candidate will be pivotal in embedding the system into Council processes.

This post is identified as a hybrid post supporting both office and home working in line with Spelthorne Borough Council’s policy. The post holder will be required to attend the office in line with a rota and any service requirements. This role also requires attendance at evening meetings on a rota basis.
