All applicants must hold a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and able to work within the county of Surrey.

The starting salary for this position is £15,158 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

This position sits within the Children Families and Lifelong Learning in the Assessment Fostering Service and will be of interest for those working towards a Fostering Service Events Assistant Apprenticeship.

Some of the tasks you will be involved with in the role include:

  • Supporting the work of the council by contributing to the delivery of services and projects allocated and supported by a supervising manager
  •  Learning the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of the role
  •  Completing a programme of study at level 3 which is relevant to the role
  •  Learning to model Surrey County Council’s Values
  •  Carrying out the role with enthusiasm, integrity and professionalism
  • Supporting the service with the retention of foster carers through the organisation and running of social events and activities for foster carers and looked after children.
  •   Liaise with stakeholders and partner organisations to understand what events and activities are required.
  •   Monitor and evaluate the success of events
