The starting salary for this role is £29,291 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

Though this role is based at Woodhatch Place, 11 Cockshot Hill, Reigate, RH2 8EF, you will be able to work flexibly from our many locations across the county as well as from home.

Surrey County Council’s Agile Organisation Programme is delivering widespread change to how we deliver services over the next few years, improving the way that our people work and putting residents’ needs at the heart of our decision making. The programme is supporting a change in our ways of working, our buildings, our technology, and our people, driving the organisation towards becoming outcome focused and truly agile.

We have a great team that work closely together to deliver the ongoing programme. The programme will be touching all parts of the organisation, including Children and Adults services, as well as supporting Corporate services.

The Project Support Officer role will provide support to the whole programme. This will include diary management, meeting support as well as ad-hoc administration tasks to help the programme smoothly progress. The role will interact with a variety of functions that will support the teams, for example IT and Digital, People and Change, and Land and Property.

We are looking for someone with programme office administration experience, who is organised and can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to support and facilitate a wide range of stakeholders.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

  • An understanding of how a programme manages dependencies, risk, and issues.
  • Ability to assist in the monitoring of project scope documents and business cases, risk registers, issues logs, lessons learnt reports and other project related documents and proactively escalate concerns to the Programme Manager and Board.
  • Organisational skills to keep all project and team folders in the shared area up to date. File any new documents received and thus assist and maintain effective and efficient filing structures and systems.
  • Ability to analyse and present information, including financial monitoring and budget management.
