Team Administrator (Centres for the Community) x 2
Centres for the Community are great spaces in Woking that benefit the whole community. Over the last two years they have changed significantly and now include a range of services and activities through exciting partnerships. These include fitness classes, art groups, community choir, youth clubs, toddler groups, maternity and health visitor clinics, dementia respite care, salons, counselling, employment support, cafes and day-services for the elderly. We believe these spaces are highly valuable to support our Health and Wellbeing Priorities particularly in tackling isolation and loneliness, through bringing communities and generations together.
To improve the operations of the Centres we are recruiting two Team Administrators (1.5FTE). We are looking for experienced administrators who will support the Centres to be accessible for customers. This includes supporting the communications in conjunction with the Council’s Communications Team and promoting the Centres on Social Media, monitoring data of outputs and processing and monitoring income and expenditure with the Operations Manager and Centre Managers. We want our Centres to be highly accessible and to improve digital opportunities for booking and accessing services. We also value quality customer service and at all times we put the customer and their needs first.
You will:
- Provide excellent customer services in writing and verbally
- Provide continuous improvement to our processes always with the customer in mind
- Support the collection of data for financial monitoring and service outputs
- Promote the work of the Centres and partnerships through social media and wider communications
- Provide general administration support to the team
- Take great pride in supporting the operations of the Centres
We need administration cover for 55.5 hours a week but we are very flexible about how this can be split between two people so please do consider applying if you are looking for full time or part time work. The main place of work will one of our community centres across the borough and we are very happy to discuss with you which one might be most suitable for you.
The Council offers in return a generous flexi time scheme with the ability to take two flexi days a month, membership of the local government pension scheme, discounted health and leisure membership, plus many more excellent benefits.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Adam Thomas, Head of Family & Community Services on 07854 686254
Interview date: Thursday 21st July
