Electoral Services Trainee

Guildford Borough Council is looking for a committed, self-motivated, and enthusiastic person to undertake a training programme leading to the professional qualification of the Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) – the Certificate in Electoral Administration. For the right person this is a great opportunity to develop a career and become fully involved in the administration of democracy.
You will be trained in all aspects of Electoral Registration and Elections Management and will attend the Association’s foundation course comprising of 5 one day seminars. You will then have the opportunity to study for the Certificate this study will be on a distance learning basis with full support from senior officers and the AEA.
Job Profile
With excellent communication and computer skills, you will be well organised and methodical in your approach to your work. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. A degree would be desirable, but a minimum of two A levels or equivalent are required together with some previous administrative experience.
