Group Head for Assets
Salary range: £76,557 - £83,372 pa
Car Allowance: £5,225 pa
This post is identified as a hybrid post supporting both office and home working in line with Spelthorne Borough Council’s policy. The post holder will be required to attend the office in line with service requirements.
About your new Council
We want to make Spelthorne a place of choice. Our Borough may be compact, but we are very forward thinking and there are huge opportunities on offer in property development, management and residential lettings. Heathrow is on our doorstep, we are promoting a Southern Light Rail link to the airport, and Shepperton Studios have their home here. As a Council, we have significant landholdings and development opportunities in Staines-upon-Thames. We also have a wholly owned Council company – Knowle Green Estates Ltd – to manage our completed residential schemes across the Borough.
Our property investment assets have grown from zero to approximately £1bn. Our blue-chip tenants include BP, Ericsson, Samsung, Matel and Amadeus. We need to strategically manage our growing estate and are looking for a Group Head for Assets with both private and public sector experience. You will also deal with the municipal assets, as well as a major pipeline of affordable housing and regeneration projects, including the development of our new state-of-the-art Passivhaus leisure centre.
What we are looking for from you
- Proven track record in delivery of property management and
residential developments and lettings
- Commercial acumen and public sector experience
- Drive, enthusiasm and ability to work at pace
- Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent
