We are looking for a Senior Parking Administrator to provide a high level of customer service to join our Parking Services Team based at the Civic Centre in the heart of Addlestone’s regenerated town centre. The post-holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the Civil Enforcement Team, committed to public safety and ensuring that the public pay for the services they receive when using the Council’s car-parks. The primary role is to encourage considerate parking by taking appropriate action against illegally parked vehicles so that other drivers can go about their daily business with minimum disruption. In addition, you would be responsible for dealing with the more complicated enquiries and informal challenges and first stage complaints. The successful applicant would also work with the Customer Services and Parking Manager, partners and other staff to drive business transformation to support service improvement, challenging existing service delivery models and championing new ideas.
You will be working in a fast- paced and demanding environment, so it is important that you are well organised and resilient, can remain calm, focussed, and professional irrespective of whether you are handling enquiries over the telephone, in person at the Civic Centre, or by e-mail or post. You will be handling enquiries across a broad range of Parking services, and will receive specific training that will enable you to work within the legislative requirements of the Road Traffic Management Act.
We are looking for a flexible, well organised individual with an ability to learn complex legislation and experience of working with various IT systems. Good numerical reasoning skills, an ability to work under pressure and a willingness to collaborate with innovative working methods are all essential. The post holder would also need to be self-motivated, with good IT literacy and customer-relationship management skills.
If you think that you have what it takes to excel in this role then we’d like to hear from you.
