The Surrey Family Support Programme is an innovative multi-agency project that supports the successful co-ordination of local statutory and voluntary services to work in partnership with families with complex and multiple needs.
This role is to work within the Family Support Team, overseeing the work carried out to support families who come to live within our area as part of the Afghan Relocation Assistance Policy and UK Resettlement Scheme (formally the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme). This post will support Refugee Coordinators who work with families who have been resettled within Runnymede Borough.
Families will need support in all aspects of their resettlement and are expected to have many underlying complex needs relating (but not limited) to language, mental and physical health, family function and capacity. The purpose of your intervention is to use the co-ordinated expertise and resources of multi-agency partners to enable smooth, effective and efficient integration within their local communities.
It is expected that the Resettlement Team Leader will participate in an intensive induction training programme to assist them in the role as well as regular case and clinical supervision on taking up the post. This is an excellent opportunity for professional development.
Participate in peer support with other local Refugee Support Co-ordinators (or
similar), external partners, and others within the local Family Support Team.
Benefits include a minimum of 24 days annual leave, Local Government Pension Scheme and free car parking at Surrey Heath Borough Council.
