The starting salary for this position is £24,881 per annum based on a 32 hour working week pro-rata to £27,991.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Business Support Officer to join Surrey County Council’s Finance Service on a 12 month fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity. This position is part-time (4 days per week).
This role is open to remote working meaning you aren't required in the office 5 days a week. We’re less about you driving to work and more about us collectively driving down our carbon footprint. In this role you will provide business and administrative support on a day to day basis to the Finance Directors, the Finance Senior Management Team and the wider Finance team.
This will include:
- Diary management
- Organising meetings and other events
- Coordinating recruitment activity
- Other transactional tasks such as invoicing
We’re looking for someone who is approachable and personable with an organised and efficient work style. You will have a "can do" attitude and be willing get involved in a range of different tasks. You will be expected to take responsibility of your own workload by planning and prioritising tasks appropriately. You will also need to be competent in a range of IT tools including email, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Good written and oral communications skills, the ability to build good relationships with colleagues, an understanding of excellent customer service and a proactive approach are also essential for this role.
