The starting salary for this role is £40,227 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.
The SEND system in Surrey is undergoing a period of significant change in the context of increasing demand, the increasing need to deliver value for money, and our ambition to ensure the most positive outcomes for children with SEND.
This transformation of the SEND system is being achieved through programmes that are critical to our ambition to support children to thrive in their local schools and communities and develop independent and fulfilling lives, whilst ensuring that our services are effective and financially sustainable. We require an experienced Project Manager to coordinate SEND Boards, working to support senior colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
This is a full-time, permanent role funded by the Children, Families and Lifelong Learning Directorate. Please note, it is policy for new employees to commence at the beginning of the relevant salary range with limited exceptions. The role is scoped as full time, but we would encourage individuals with flexible working requirements to apply.
We are looking for someone with:
- The experience and ability to arrange, coordinate and assist stakeholders with the running of SEND Boards
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to support project plans at different levels for different audiences and facilitate project meetings effectively
- The ability to analyse data and identify options or recommendations
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with experience working with a broad range of stakeholders, driving forward project delivery and resolving or escalating blockers
- “Hands on” experience of facilitating Board meetings – management of scope and change requests, proactively managing risks and issues, and able to work with the business to support transformation.
In summary we want to hear from professional officers who relish a challenge and have a track record of facilitating projects that deliver results.
The role will be formally based in Quadrant Court, Woking, and some travel to other venues in Surrey will be required for specific meetings or workshops. However, during the Covid19 restrictions, homeworking is in place and post Covid19 the proposal is to retain an agile workforce approach, including home working and flexible use of local offices in Surrey. We will make sure you have everything in place to do this effectively, including training in Microsoft Teams.
If you are a driven, enthusiastic and ambitious Project Manager then we want to hear from you!
