Procurement Manager

The starting salary for this role is £40,227 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

Orbis Procurement is a collaborative partnership between East Sussex County Council, Surrey County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council which manages a procurement spend of more than £1.6bn a year with external suppliers. We are one of the largest local government procurement functions in the country and pride ourselves in delivering value to our residents.

We offer a great place to work and need experienced Procurement Managers to join our team. We currently have two vacancies:

• 1 x permanent position
• 1 x 18 month fixed term / secondment contract (with the possibility that this will be extended)

We are interested in a wide range of skills, experience and capabilities, particularly those with a background in Transportation, Highways and Infrastructure as well as Social Care.  

This role attracts a salary between £40,227 and £44,619 per annum and provides excellent flexibility and benefits which includes generous leave allowance, local government salary related pension, as well as other benefits such as a car lease scheme. Our administrative bases are in Reigate (Woodhatch Place), in Lewes (County Hall) or Hove Town Hall. We offer flexibility on your work base location, though some travel to the other offices will be required from time to time.

• Have previous procurement experience, which may include public sector experience and knowledge of public procurement regulations

• Want to contribute to providing high-quality public services across the South-East.
