We are looking to appoint a qualified Property Solicitor to deal with a diverse and demanding caseload relating to commercial and residential acquisitions and disposals, landlord/tenant, and other commercial property matters. The post involves taking the lead on conveyancing and other commercial transactions with particular emphasis on commercial leasing. You must have proven legal experience as well as the ability to work with senior managers, ideally involving commercial property work. We need someone who is skilled and enthusiastic and with a strong sense of probity. Good IT skills and the ability to manage and prioritise large workloads and turn around work in short timescales are necessary.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has strong legal experience and wants to expand their existing knowledge and experience. You must be either a qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive (or equivalent), although it is not essential to have worked in local government.
You will have a 'can do' enabling approach and play a vital role in the next stage of the Council’s continuous improvement journey.
We are looking to appoint one post M3 (£41,375.00) full time, 37 hours per week. Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the criteria as described in the Role Specification at the specified grade for the post for which they are applying.
