We are seeking a motivated resilient, and flexible person to join our existing team. You will be proactive at managing a varied case load, this involves the tenancy management of around 700 properties within your allocated area. This will include general needs stock, Independent Retirement Living, temporary accommodation and the management of leaseholders. The ideal candidate will have a housing background and be looking to further their career however we will also consider candidates with the relevant transferable skills.
Despite the pandemic our proactive support to tenants resulted in a year end rent arrears performance of 1.61%. The successful candidate will understand income collection, including court action within a culture of sustaining tenancies and working with residents to maximise and manage their income.
A main focus of the role is arrears recovery, we currently structure our working week ensuring that we allocate 2 days to rent recovery.
You will also be responsible for addressing tenancy issues, completing new tenant visits, dealing with Right to Buy applications, mutual exchange applications, undertaking inspections of council stock. The successful candidate will have strong time management skills as some applications require us to respond within specific timeframes.
We are currently based in the office 3 days a week with 2 days a week working from home however this is subject to change depending on business needs.
