The starting salary for this role is £18,877 per annum (pro rata to £21,943 FTE) including annual leave entitlement, working 1404.20 hours over 39 weeks per year, commencing April 2022. Hours will be worked through the months of March - November and pay will be spread over the twelve-month period.
We have 5 vacancies for Outdoor Learning Instructors, on 24-month fixed term contracts, based at Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development's centres:
High Ashurst Outdoor Centre, Mickleham, Dorking, Surrey. RH5 6DQ
Henley Fort, The Mount, Off The Hogs Back, Guildford, Surrey. GU2 4RH
Thames Young Mariners, Riverside Drive, Ham, Richmond, Surrey. TW10 7RX
The successful applicants will join the delivery team at Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development. They must be skilled facilitators in delivering outdoor learning, be able to adapt their delivery style to meet the needs of the group and their learning outcomes. They will have knowledge in how outdoor learning can benefit all aspects of personal and social development.
The successful applicants must have previous centre experience and hold NGB qualifications. A current first aid qualification is essential.
We are looking for staff with any of the following awards:
- SPA/CWA/ERCA ropes course instructor
- Archery GB Instructor Award
- MIAS level 2/British Cycling Level 2 Instructor
- A walking / expedition qualification: such as LEL/ML
- D1/PCV minibus licence
- Forest Schools Leader
- British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor (or equivalent qualification) / Leader
