The starting salary for this position is £27,991 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.
Surrey County Council is looking to expand and consolidate our successful in-house legal team in the area of child protection. There is a new and exciting opportunity within our children’s social care team for a paralegal.
We are looking for flexible, motivated, and ambitious colleagues to join our progressive service.
As a Paralegal you will:
- Support dedicated fee earners as part of a team
- Have the opportunity to be involved in interesting cases and develop your legal skills as part of a wider team
- Deliver training
- Hold your own cases in accordance with risk profiles
The team is skilled and Lexcel accredited. Feedback from the inspection is that the induction and supervision of Lawyers is an area of good practice. The variety of quality case work in Surrey presents all Lawyers with opportunities to develop their knowledge, experience and understanding.
This role requires an individual with a strong academic background and previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is essential.
