The salary for this position is £26,948 - £42,780 per annum depending on qualifications (MPS/UPS) + 2 SEN points for 36 hours per week. The administrative base is Fairmount House, Bull Hill, Leatherhead.

Physical and Sensory Support (PSS) is a targeted specialist education service within Surrey County Council for vulnerable young people.
The Physical and Sensory Support (PSS) F/HE 16+ Team consists of a team of qualified Student Support Workers (SSWs), BSL interpreters, HE Student Support Tutors and Qualified Advisory Teachers for sensory impairment (for deaf students and students with vision impairment).
In this role you will have a caseload of post-16 students with vision impairment who are studying in colleges and universities in Surrey. For some, you will manage and oversee their in-class support from qualified notetakers, for their college/university sessions. You will also assist in the timetabling of Support Workers for the VI students on your caseload, if their EHCP or DSA state that this is required.
You will provide 1:1 tutorials with some of the students on your caseload, either weekly or monthly according to their need and funding allowance as stated in their EHCP or DSA statement.
You will monitor the needs of other post-16 VI students (who may not require in-class support) offering advice, information and training as necessary - to college staff and disability advisers.
