Rough Sleeper Coordinator & Outreach Officer
Full time – 36 hours per week Permanent
£30,357 to £32,393 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus essential car user allowance
This is a truly exciting time for Housing at Spelthorne Borough Council. We are developing new affordable housing though our housing company Knowle Green Estates. To add to this, we have been awarded grant funding from the Government’s Rough Sleeping Initiative Fund to assist in our aim “that no one sleeps rough in Spelthorne.”
We are therefore seeking a highly self-motivated individual who is ready to take on a challenging but rewarding role in supporting those experiencing or at risk of rough sleeping through a proactive and assertive rough sleeper outreach service.
You may be required to work non-standard hours to successfully fulfil both aspects of the role, so this isn’t your standard ‘9 to 5’ job. You will positively engage with statutory, non-statutory and third-sector agencies to map the availability of services across Spelthorne and the surrounding areas and support your clients to access these services to ultimately leave the streets for good.
In return we are committed to helping you further your career whilst giving you the opportunity to make your mark, develop your experience and skills.
If you would like an informal chat about this challenging role please call Ken Emerson on (01784) 446382 or email email@example.com
Closing date: 20 June 2021
Interview date: 29 June or 1 July 2021
