Our busy and successful Fraud and Financial Investigations Team are looking for someone to provide high quality prevention and detection of fraud within the Housing Register and homeless applications, as well as assisting with intelligence work on all fraud investigations. You will be working alongside Fraud Investigators, Intelligence Officers, and external organisations.
Qualifications are not necessary in investigations; however, we are looking for someone who does have some investigation experience (not necessarily fraud investigation) and who has an analytical approach to their work in general. You will be able to demonstrate how you already have a skill set which is transferable to meet the essential skills required for this role. Experience in Housing legislation is preferred as this role will focus on Housing Application and Homeless Application Fraud, however, is not essential.
About the Person
- You should have experience in investigating information within their current role
- Ideally you will have experience of Housing and Homeless legislation
- You will have experience of interviewing (of any kind)
- You must have strong communication skills – verbal and written
- You will have excellent ICT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel.
You must display the ability to think outside the box when looking at more complex cases and to use your own initiative and challenge information, rather than accept at face value. You will have a flexible attitude towards working practices and the ability to adapt style as required, be confident in your own abilities and approach, and be a team player. Full training will be provided.
