Guildford Borough Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Facilities Supervisor to become part of the new Facilities Team within our recently restructured Technical Services
Our committed, professional team are responsible for maintenance, planned improvement, facilities management and major refurbishment across a varied portfolio of housing and corporate property assets.
This important role is responsible for the management of facilities officers and in-house cleaning staff and will be mainly based and critical to the site management of our Woking Road Depot. The role also covers the facilities management of sheltered schemes and community centre sites.
Reporting directly to the Facilities Team Leader, the post is key to delivering high quality facilities management across the Council’s assets. The postholder will be involved with commissioning, procurement and management of related FM contracts and work at the relevant sites.
We are looking for someone who can provide an effective FM service to a mixed portfolio of properties, who has a flexible and collaborative attitude and a strong focus on delivering results to meet the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational and performance management skills, knowledge of contract management and an excellent understanding and knowledge of health and safety are essential.
A valid driving licence to allow for travel between sites would be an advantage
