Assistant Corporate Enforcement Officer
Grade SH04
Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
We are offering the opportunity for a suitable candidate to join our busy Corporate Enforcement team to support and assist with the day-to-day tasks necessary for effective delivery of Enforcement services within the Council. You will be involved and assisting colleagues with minor planning breaches, inspections, investigations, providing advice and attending meetings. Your work will cover areas such as; minor anti- social behaviour complaints, minor planning breaches, assisting in gathering evidence regarding fly tipping and helping and resolving with unauthorised encampments.
To successfully contribute to this busy team you will need to ensure the service is delivered accurately and efficiently. To build on the high level of customer service it is essential that all interactions with the general public are of a high quality experience as possible within budgetary and resource limitations.
To be successful you will ideally have experience of working in an enforcement role. You will have the ability to prioritise and manage your own work load. You must also have a proactive approach and demonstrable experience of carrying out investigations and producing accurate documentation.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision, but also be a great team player. Working with colleagues from across the Council and with partners from a range of external agencies, your role will be to help achieve positive enforcement outcomes through a range of advisory, investigative and enforcement activities.
