Job Details

We are looking for highly motivated leader with a proven track record of working in a strategic management role, successfully leading organisational development and implementing improvement change at a senior level. Though your background could be in the public or private sector, you will have experience in a large organisation with a diverse stakeholder and an excellent partnership working. The role demands highly developed skills in motivating and influencing people in order to drive progress and achieve the required end result.

The Corporate Development department is the ‘brain’ of the organisation as such will impact significantly on the Force. The challenges to this role are unique and the post holder has to be able to exercise a very strong level of judgement. The successful candidate will be a key person for assessing whether strategic initiatives, at all levels of the organization, are in line with the Force’s standards and objectives. They will provide an assurance framework to ensure that people, policies and systems are operating effectively and that the force priorities are met.

Additional Information

Please refer to the job profile for full details of the role but the successful individual will be expected to works closely with the Extended Chief Officer Group (ECOG) and be responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate governance structures, maintaining a risk management framework that enables ECOG to understand and manage threat and risk to achieve the overarching strategic objectives.

The role will be based in Guildford, moving to Leatherhead in the coming years, with frequent travel across the county and the region.
