Community Support Services

Centre Manager

36 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £31,273 – £36,104

We are looking for a caring, creative, self-starter who has strong leadership and change management skills, and a passion about Community Services, as well as the ability to work in partnership with health, social care, voluntary sector and local businesses, to join our Community Support Services team.

Hersham Centre provides home cooked hot lunches, a Community Cafe and a wide range of services and facilities as well as a building with unique space which can offer its facilities to hirers at evenings and weekends. The Centre provides Meals on Wheels seven days a week: Monday to Friday for local residents, with a weekend cook who prepares meals for all service users in the west of the borough on Saturday and Sunday.

So, do you have evidenced experience to lead a caring, catering, hiring Centre?  Can you demonstrate the ability to develop services appropriately within the community and work in partnership with heath colleagues and the voluntary sector?

We are looking for an inspiring person-centred manager to develop innovative and creative services based on local community needs. You must welcome a challenge, but also be prepared to work in emergencies, within or outside of opening hours. This could be a customer situation, or if Hersham Centre is required to operate as a rest centre in response to an adverse event in the borough. There is also a requirement to have financial monitoring skills and to work within our existing agreed policy frameworks.

If you think you have these skills, we really want to hear from you.

Successful applicants will be required to take an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Closing date: 9am 2nd November 2020

For further enquiries please contact Melanie Bussicott on 01372 474545 or 07702 167962
