About the role

As part of the Transformation Project an exciting opportunity has arisen to create a therapy led Reablement Service in Surrey supporting the Health & Social Care Integration agenda.

We are looking for two Reablement Therapy Leads to work across the county alongside the Reablement Therapies Manager and Senior Managers to embed a therapy led, strengths based approach to short term care.

The role sites within the Service Delivery Management Team, which is part of the Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Directorate.

The post holders will be experienced in the delivery of Occupational Therapy (OT) within an intermediate care or similar service and work well within a team. We are looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable and flexible OT's who are keen to develop their own skills and that of the wider team.

The post holders will be able to coach, train and guide staff within the Reablement Service, including Reablement Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Students and Newly Qualified OT's in a skills gain, strength based approach. They will work alongside the managers to develop the wider delivery of short term care with our home based care providers. They will be innovative and creative to support delivery of technology enabled care as part of Surrey's wider digital transformation project.

As the service runs 7 days a week, participation in some form of on call rota may be required as we continue to develop the roles.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to shape the new roles with the Reablement Leadership Team and work in an innovative way.
