Business Improvement is a key team within the Council which is responsible for managing a diverse range of corporate activities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Improvement Officer to join the team, to support the continued development of the services that we provide.
This is a unique role where no two days will be the same; the successful candidate will work across a number of different areas including project/programme management, information management, corporate risk management, and business continuity. You will be involved in change initiatives that drive efficient and effective ways of working, so the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, along with a proactive and positive attitude, is a must.
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills, possess strong organisational ability (both self and others), and relish working under pressure and to clear deadlines. Good IT skills are required and experience of problem solving based on sound research and creative thinking is a distinct advantage.
Whist relevant experience will be an advantage, if you have a real desire to learn and develop in the role, this is an excellent career opportunity to gain a wide range of business improvement skills and support the Council in delivering its vision of ‘Towards Tomorrow Today’.
