About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Planning Officer, the role will involve managing a personal caseload of planning applications and reporting on these, including to the Planning Committee and Development Forums as well as defending these at appeal, when required. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the supervision of Graduate Planning Officers and/or Planning Technicians and the review and sign-off of some delegated decisions.
About the Person
With previous Development Management experience and eligible for membership of the RTPI, you will offer professional advice as well as assistance and support to the team and deputise for the Principal Planning Officer or Development Managers as required.
The team operates in a supportive and energised environment and has been fully paperless for over a year. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and positive with excellent communication, IT and organisational skills as well as a strong team-ethic and can-do attitude.
