We have an exciting opportunity in our Locality Team for a Tree Officer.
You will be responsible for inspecting trees, specifying works to them and managing contractors carrying out works to ensure our trees are managed appropriately. You should ensure that you have experience of tree surveying, visual tree assessment, risk assessment and hazard evaluation as well as tree work specification setting and be able to demonstrate competence in these areas. You will hold a minimum of Level 3-4 BTEC/ABC/C&G qualification in Arboriculture or equivalent.
In addition, key skills and experience for this role include an understanding of contracted services, personal drive, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including the commercial contractors, councillors and the public.
This is a permanent, full-time post and you will need to have a full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes, for which an allowance is paid. The appointment is at grade M2 (£34,619) and therefore applicants must demonstrate that they meet the criteria of the role at M2 level as described in the Role Specification.
