Leisure Facilities and Projects Manager

(Job share 18 hours - Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday)

£16,423 to £18,025 for 18 hrs per week (dependent on experience)

Plus an essential car user allowance

Spelthorne Borough Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to undertake this important role.

The main duties of the post include:

To be the lead client officer for the leisure centre management contract, undertaking regular monitoring visits and liaising closely with the contractors. Ensure that the contractors provide consistent high standards of service delivery especially in relation to health and safety and customer satisfaction. 

To work with the Active Lifestyle and Wellbeing Manager to oversee the sports development and active lifestyle programme, liaising with relevant service providers.

To lead on leisure facility projects

To assist in the promotion, coordination and implementation of all Leisure and Wellbeing strategies.

You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have good attention to detail and experience of working with the general public. A leisure degree or equivalent qualification or experience is required. Experience of contract monitoring is desirable. The post involves work at evenings and weekends. It is essential that the successful applicant has a full driving licence and access to a car for work.

The post will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
