The South London Waste Partnership (SLWP) is made up of four London Boroughs; Merton, Sutton, and Croydon, and the Royal Borough of Kingston. The four boroughs work in partnership in order to provide improved and more costs-effective environmental services for their residents.

SLWP manage a suite of jointly procured contracts that include the operation of six Household Reuse and Recycling Centres and strategic services to provide for the treatment and recycling of household waste.

The boroughs have also worked together to procure a revolutionary environmental services contract for residents in the partnership area delivering harmonised frontline services for waste collection, street cleansing, winter and vehicle maintenance. Some services commenced in April 2017 with the remaining services being phased in over the next 18 months.

The Partnership requires an experienced Project Support Officer to coordinate, support and drive progress across all Partnership projects.

The main focus of the role is to:

* To manage waste and environmental projects across the Partnership.

* To be the project administrator and co-ordinator of all South London Waste Partnership activity.

* To provide secretariat support across the Partnership's varied projects and work streams and produce a variety of project products such as minutes, reports, actions logs, risks registers and project plans

* To be the central contact point and hub for all south London Waste Partnership Activity and for all SLWP stakeholders

Experience in waste management is desirable but not essential and we welcome applications from any candidates who can demonstrate the key skills and attributes required for the role.

The role is required to be flexible and work in the four Partner Boroughs of Merton, Kingston, Sutton and Croydon.
