Our Adult Social Care Locality team based in Elmbridge is looking for a part-time Qualified Occupational Therapist to join their friendly team.
If you would like the opportunity to work with a variety of clients who have differing needs, this could be for you. These clients may experience a learning disability, physical or sensory impairment, mental health or be an older person.
Are you looking to develop a range of skills to enable you to undertake frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting, build your professional experience in major adaptations, reablement skills gain programs, moving and handling assessments with the aim of supporting our clients to live independently in the community.
Joining us, you would be part of a multi skilled team which includes; social workers, occupational therapists, assistant social Care practitioners and reablement personnel. As a team we provide support to vulnerable adults and their carers in a community based setting.
Part of your community based role would require you to carry out home visits within your locality area and on occasion travelling outside of the county. Some of these settings include clients homes, residential care and nursing homes.
In return for your skills, we offer you a competitive starting salary equivalent to that of a band 6 OT in a health care setting, a 18 hours working week (part-time staff) with options for agile work practice with the tools to manage time his. You would receive on-going career development and training to support in your continuing professional development.
