Commencing salary on a range £38,574 to £44,736 depending on experience and qualifications
plus essential user car allowance
Heading up a team collecting rents and dealing with estate management and anti-social behaviour, your role
will involve assisting with policy formulation including the Housing Strategy Statement and Business Plan.
It will be an advantage if you are a qualified CIOH Member and have a management qualification but
essential that you have considerable experience of housing management within the public sector. This should include knowledge of the law and practise relating to stock/tenancies and experience of budget and people management. You will be expected to participate in performance reviews and make recommendations for service improvement.
Your skills should include an ability to communicate well verbally both on a one-to-one basis and in meetings and in writing. You should be proficient at Word and Excel with the ability to create spreadsheets and in addition you should be experienced in using computerised housing systems, ideally Northgate. Equally important is the ability to deal with difficult situations calmly and diplomatically, to assess and summarise complex information and make recommendations and be able to manage change.
There will be a requirement to attend evening meetings once or twice a month.
