Godalming, Surrey (Temporary contract for up to six months) We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organised individual with good communication skills to work on an exciting project to enhance an important local park. You will be responsible for carrying out project work and research to assist with the development of a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Parks for People Stage 2 grant application for the Phillips Memorial Park in Godalming. Your main responsibility will be to assist the lead officer for the project with the preparation of an activity plan and conservation management plan. You will also assist with the public consultation element of the HLF bid, conducting and evaluating visitor surveys and continuing with work to set up a ‘friends’ group to support the park, along with other aspects of the application process such as answering enquiries. To be successful, you will be educated to A-Level standard or above, be computer literate and have some experience of working with the public. Experience of local government, project management and of the HLF process would be an advantage. This position is supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund.
