A qualified and experienced librarian, you will provide information and research support to engineers, planning officers and other specialists in Services for Communities and also support and assist the Strategy and Policy Projects Service with information provision, research and analysis that is undertaken in the development of policies and strategies for the County Council.
You will oversee all aspects of purchasing and disseminating books, journals and subscriptions, whilst dealing with a wide range of queries both for Services and Communities and the Strategy and Policy Projects Service.
As a Chartered Librarian and member of the Library Association, you will be experienced in a technical setting and well-versed with all aspects of quality assurance and also have knowledge of government departments, research and academic organisations and other major data sources. Above all, you will be able to maintain and manage a register of controlled documents, and to provide outstanding service to internal customers.
