In this very varied role, you’ll build and lead an outstanding frontline team of approximately 25 people, who work with adults over the age of 18 with a learning disability.
The North West team covers all of northwest Surrey, including Runnymede, Woking and Surrey Heath.
Are you a resourceful person who would like the challenge of leading, directing and performance managing a frontline team? Would you enjoy a demanding yet varied role, to help effectively utilise resources, ensure implementation of policies and be responsible for recruiting and retaining a first class team? Do you also have experience of working with other professionals to develop new and innovative services?
You will be responsible for ensuring safeguarding issues and complaints are investigated in a timely and effective manner. With your commitment to improving practice standards and personal competencies, you’ll also ensure all team members receive regular supervision and appraisals, and support and motivate them through constant structural and procedural change.
On top of a relevant professional qualification in social work, occupational therapy, nursing or health, you’ll need a social care background and line management and supervisory experience. We’ll also expect you to show substantial knowledge of social care service provisions and an up-to-date knowledge of the statutory framework for health and social care.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and POVA check will be required for this role.
