We are seeking a Surveying Services Manager to join
our Major Works Team, which is one of a number of maintenance and
improvement teams reporting to the Property Manager.
As team leader level and you will be leading and managing 3 building surveying
staff, including the asset surveyor, to deliver all aspects of the
Asset Management Plan and annual programmes of major works to
the housing stock. Your objective is to maintain and improve the
asset register and to use it to identify and carry out current and
future programmes of major investments to the housing stock,
to meet our Decent Homes and other targets.
Good communication skills are essential,along with the ability to
produce contract documents, invite and evaluate tenders and carry
out all aspects of contract administration. Experience of producing
drawings, specification writing and a working knowledge of JCT forms
of contract is required as is the ability to assess building condition,
investigate building defects and prepare recommendations for remedial
work and improvements.
As a member of RICS or CIOB, you should be able to demonstrate
Successful delivery of repairs, maintenance and improvement projects,
with significant experience in property maintenance and management
and the ability to lead a small team.
