Working to support our userbase of 9000 people, you’ll play a vital part in helping us deliver a great service to the residents of the borough by supporting our back office and frontline staff.
You’ll be responsible for recording and identifying call type, priority, resolution or allocation to IMT staff and 3rd party suppliers. And, working effectively in a demanding and diverse environment, you’ll offer relevant, helpful advice to our service users.
This senior role on our IMT (Information Management and Technology) Service Desk requires a highly experienced 1st line engineer. You’ll need to be motivated, professional and committed to delivering a high quality service. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate innovative thinking in the resolution of issues, someone who shows a real attention to detail and who can deliver accurate, efficient results.
You’ll need experience of working on an IT Service Desk and a proven track record of working in Netware 5.1 and Lotus Domino 6.5. You’ll also need to have an understanding of remote access solutions, PDAs and an awareness of ITIL methodology.
We offer an excellent package including a final salary pension scheme, flexitime and pay increases in line with the annual cost of living. We also offer a graded salary scale, so if you perform well, you’ll receive this in addition. And because we want to see our people develop and grow with us, we provide continuous professional development with departmental support.
