The Richmond Community Mental Health Team(CMHT)is a multidisciplinary team offering specialist assessment, treatment and care to adults with mental health problems in their own homes and the community.

Richmond CMHT consists of multidisciplinary staff all of whom deliver a health and social care holistic service. It is from the CMHT that the local authorities duties are discharged under the Mental Health Act. The Assistant Team Manager supports the Team Manager in ensuring the local authorities social care agenda is delivered within the team, provides professional and managerial supervision to the social care staff, provides guidance on social care issues, acts as team safeguarding lead, provides management input in the borough Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) rota and manages the more complex social care cases.
