As well as replacing stock on the shelves and keeping the library in good order, the job involves using the library computer system to control the circulation of library stock. Good computer skills in packages such as MS office will be important, along with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards training and personal development from induction onwards.
You will need to have library experience, as the job requires the responsibility for offering information services and basic ICT support to library users; supervising and training other staff; and on occasion to be responsible for building security.
