Location:Burpham, Guildford 

Surrey County Council, operate a cul-de-sac of six modern houses in Burpham, providing a range of services for people with learning disabilities including residential care and short-stay.

We support and enable people with daily living tasks, personal care, access to leisure pursuits, education, skills development and social networks within the local community, using a person centred approach.

We welcome people to join our bank team, who can provide adhoc shift cover during the early morning, mid day, evening or at weekends to cover gaps in our full time staff team rota.

We are looking for people with motivation and commitment to improving people’s lives and a desire to empower and promote independence.

An interest and desire to support adults with learning difficulties is essential and experience would be beneficial, but Surrey County Council mandatory training and additional specific training will be provided.

Residential Support Workers at this level, will be expected to function in terms of the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Care or Health and Social Care diplomas and will be encouraged to consolidate their competence through accreditation at level 2.

We offer the opportunity to complete Heath and Social Care Diploma training and this will be encouraged and supported. The shift work includes working every other weekend and some sleep in duties.

All will be expected to complete mandatory training and complete Common induction standards.
